Overview:
We're seeking an experienced Actuary Consultant (ACAS/FCAS) to support advanced actuarial analysis, pricing, reserving, risk assessment, and predictive modeling initiatives within a Property & Casualty insurance environment.
This role will provide strategic actuarial expertise that supports business planning, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and portfolio optimization. The ideal candidate possesses strong Property & Casualty insurance experience, advanced analytical capabilities, and a proven track record of delivering actionable insights through actuarial modeling and risk analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform advanced actuarial analysis across Property & Casualty insurance portfolios.
Develop pricing models, reserving methodologies, and financial risk assessments.
Support predictive modeling initiatives to improve underwriting and business performance.
Analyze insurance portfolio performance and profitability trends.
Evaluate risk exposures and recommend mitigation strategies.
Support financial planning, forecasting, and business strategy initiatives.
Prepare actuarial reports, analyses, and presentations for business leaders and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and actuarial standards.
Collaborate with underwriting, finance, product, and business teams to support strategic decision-making.
Apply actuarial methodologies to solve complex business and insurance challenges.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
ACAS or FCAS designation required (CAS credential required).
8+ years of actuarial experience within the insurance industry.
Strong Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance experience.
Experience with actuarial pricing, reserving, and risk analysis.
Strong understanding of actuarial methodologies and insurance analytics.
Experience supporting business strategy through data-driven analysis.
Strong quantitative, statistical, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to communicate complex actuarial concepts to both technical and business audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
General Insurance actuarial experience.
Predictive modeling experience.
Rate filing or regulatory compliance experience.
Personal Lines or Commercial Lines insurance experience.
Experience supporting enterprise transformation initiatives.
Advanced analytical and statistical modeling expertise.
Compensation & Benefits:
Pay Rate: $73/hour
